Also called leveling plane, jointer planes are especially designed for straightening edges and flattening large surfaces. They are used to lower the peaks of an uneven surface to make it flat. That’s why jointer planes are long, wide and heavy.
Committed to excellence, GROZ offers two models made of robust grey cast iron base accurately machined and ground to high precision. The sole is flat to 0.003"(0.075mm). Accurately blade seating eliminates blade “chatter”. Fully adjustable frog provides the required setting for the specific job. The hardwood handle and knob with brass adjusting nut and screw heads make them attractive.

GROJP5: Called «Jack Plane», the JP-5 model is 14"(355mm) long x 2"(50mm) large. Shorter and lighter (5.3Lbs/2.4Kg), it is mainly used for heavy stock removal when preparing timber to final finishing.
GROJP7: JP-7 Jointer plane is 22"(560mm) long x 2-3/8"(60mm) wide. Heavier (8.4Lbs/3.8Kg), it is the most commonly used for flattening wider panels and mainly for straightening edges of long boards prior to joining them together.
