Nova Galaxi DVR combines the best features of larger lathes: power, capacity and versatility with state of the art technology to ensure your turning is more efficient, fun and safer. It allows to handle a wide range of work from small pens to big bowls, large platters and long spindle work. Thanks to the Digital Variable Reluctance (DVR) motor, a proven technology from its predecessor Nova DVR XP, this adaptive control software will assist you with your turning. Easy to operate, it measures the weight of the workpiece and continually adjusts performance accordingly. It senses faults in the setup, advises of safety issues and can instantly shut down power to the spindle if necessary.

• Powerful 1.75HP(15Amp)-110V DVR direct drive motor (convertible at 2HP-220V with appropriate plug) with emergency stop. This smart computer-controlled motor only draws the required power to get the job done. The DVR motor can save up to 50% of energy compared to conventional motors
• Variable speed range from as low as 100 to 5000RPM. An easy to use push-button electronic variable speed control with speed knob and forward and reverse allows the user to program 8 favorite speeds for faster and more efficient set ups (Wireless remote #55522 optional)
• Full 360° swivel head that allows to position work where you want it and to lock at any position thanks to detent locating positions at -90,-60,-30, 0, 30, 60, 90 and 180 degrees 
• Swing inboard capacity is 16"dia (400mm) 
• Swing outboard capacity is 29"dia (740mm) with optional outrigger tool rest NOV55223
• Distance between centers is 44″(1120mm). The large solid and heavy bed is not extendable
• The #2MT head is equipped with a 1-¼"-8 TPI RH thread drive spindle with 5/8"(15mm) through bore while the #2MT tailstock is equipped with a self-ejecting 3"(80mm) travel quill which is with 1/2"(12mm) through bored
• The headstock is equipped with heavy duty Trimax triple bearing system and an easy to adjust 24 point index. A spindle index pin allows to accurately and firmly lock the head in the desired position (15° apart) 
• 12"(300mm) x 1"(25mm) shaft tool rest with long reach slide designed to take advantage for the extra capacity offered. Toolrest and tailstock are easy to lock through quick action cam handles. There is even a convenient storage space inside the tailstock
• Solid cast iron stand with CAD-designed ribbing for structural strength and no vibration. Designed to allow the installation of custom shelves and supplied with 2-3/8"(60mm) dia feet individually adjustable to suit floor level
• Measuring 73-½"(1865mm) long x 20"(510mm) wide x 49"(1250mm) high and weighing 435lbs (198kgs), the Galaxi DVR offers incredible power in a compact working space
• Also included are: 6"(150mm) face plate, 2MT spur drive center, 2MT live tailstock center, ½"dia.x 15-½"long knockout bar, hand wheel, easy-grip rubber handles and owner’s manual
