Description
Since the beginning of the eighties, Normand has been providing the woodworking industry with a complete selection of industrial power feeders. First designed and manufactured in Italy, production slowly moved to Asia over the years and it is at the turn of the second millennium that Steel City finally added it to their program.
There are several good reasons to get a power feeder for industrial applications. However, many cabinetmakers appreciate their presence in their woodshop particularly in applications where they need to work close to the cutting tools.
Among its entry-level series, Steel City offers the “Junior” which looks more like a standard feeder both lighter and cheaper than the industrial models.
- Equipped with three 80mm (3-1/8") dia x 30mm (1-3/16") wide synthetic rubber rollers mounted on spring loaded arms offering a 18 mm (3/4") suspension play
- Thanks to its column support which allows a 3-D setting, it can be positioned vertically, horizontally or any position in between
- Powered by a 1/4HP motor operating on 110V, it weighs just 33kg (73lbs)
- Versatile it can run forward or reverse at fixed speeds of 6-8-10-13m/min (20/26/33/43Ft/min)
- Ideal for continuous feed and increased safety.
