Description

In the past, each screwdriver had its own handle and there were as many screwdrivers as existing screw models and dimensions. If one wanted to own a varied screwdriver assortment, it was therefore necessary to buy a complete set and maintain them with care. Sharpening screwdrivers is no more a need. Industrialization has given birth to screwdriver bits for more flexibility and greater simplicity. Today there is a multitude of interchangeable bit screwdrivers and it is not uncommon to find multiple versions at home.

Screwing into wood is never so simple because we are constantly facing resistance more or less caused by the size of the screw and the hardness of the wood. Generally speaking, in woodworking, we commonly deal with 3 types of screw: flat, cross and square. Among the panoply of screwdrivers offered on the market, we found this 13in1 ratcheting screwdriver (12 screw bits + ¼" hex shank shaft) which allows tightening screws easier and faster.

  • Made in Canada, it measures 9-¼" long
  • Its rubberized cushion grip handle provides a comfortable grip thus ensuring full control
  • Its hex shank shaft is made of stainless steel 303 and is equipped with a magnetic bit holder
  • Reversible, it has 3 positions: fixed, left or right
  • Its precision 28-tooth ratchet design is made of ZAD 8 zinc alloy SOLID-CORE™ that delivers over 225in/lbs of torque strength with a smooth and quiet operation
  • Its retractable bit cartridge can store 12 - 1" long end bits providing greater versatility close at hand
  • The S2 steel bit assortment includes: 4 flat bits (# 3, 4, 5, 6), 4 cross-Phillips bits (# 0, 1, 2, 3) and 4 square-Robertson bits (# 0, 1, 2, 3). Extra or replacement tips are also available.
  • The 1-3/8" end cap is a real palm saver because it does not rotate with the handle. You can then apply more pressure when it is required while protecting the palm of the hand from blisters.
