Description

Hot melt is a solvent less adhesive made of polymer that turns to liquid when heated and freezes to a solid upon cooling. When liquid, it penetrates everywhere and takes only a few seconds to turn solid.

Hot melt is very popular in the industry because of its low cost and ease of use and storage. It sets quickly, makes less mess and can be used:

  • For various applications (assembly, construction, packaging, repair...)
  • In different industries (automobile, electronic, furniture, textile...)
  • On a wide range of material (carton, ceramic, glass, leather, metal, plastic, wood...)

Centurion offers a hot melt industrial adhesive intended for general use (not recommended outside) with a few seconds open time. White in color, this adhesive is available in 7/16"(11.5mm) dia.

Tip from the Boss:

  • Always better when the surfaces are rough or porous
  • Preheating surfaces will improve adhesion especially for metals
  • Bond reaches about 50% of its strength after 1 minute, 75% after 1 hour and 100% after 1 day
