Block planes are especially designed for cutting end grain, trimming dovetails, shaping chamfers and curves and working small-scale planning jobs. Their small size makes them light and easy to carry and perfect for planning with one hand. Since the iron is set at low angle, they require less force when planning end grain.

GROBP220: It’s a block plane of 7"(180mm) long x 1-5/8"(42mm) wide with fixed mouth. Set at 21° angle, the iron is held rigidly by a knurled wheel and screw and depth of cut is adjusted by a brass knob. It is a general purpose plane weighing 2.1Lbs/0.95Kg.
GROBP605: This block plane is 6-¼"(160mm) long x 1-3/8"(35mm) wide with adjustable mouth for fine or coarse work. Set at 13-½° angle, the iron is held rigidly by a knurled wheel and screw and depth of cut is adjusted by a brass knob. Weighing only 1.4Lbs/0.65Kg, it is particularly useful for cutting plastic laminate.
