Woodturners are always looking for ways to add a certain personal touch to their work. The decorating Elf is a versatile tool and easy-to-use that can add a lot of value to your pieces. It can produce excellent effects on both faceplate and spindle work. For surface decoration, it can be combined with colouring followed by liming wax or burning effects.

The decorating Elf is a well-balanced manual tool. The HSS milling tools used are precise cutting tools easy to insert and remove. As soon as the cutter touches the moving part, it revolves very smoothly and, depending on the angle given and the pressure applied, different textures or patterns can be created depending on the depth.

• Ideal for decorating pens, boxes, bowls, jewellery, Christmas decorations, toys, key rings, pepper & salt mills and lots more
• Can be used on concave, flat and convex surfaces as well as on softwoods or close-grained hardwoods, both end and side grain, acrylics, alternative ivory, bone and antler
• Its 150mm (6") long ergonomic profiled handle is made from stained beech and fitted with a 100mm (4") long solid brass shaft that is inserted into the body to add weight to improve the feeling when used. Total length is 205mm (8-1/4")
• Two sealed bearings are inserted into the brass body to hold the milling cutter in place and allow it to rotate easily. In addition, the bearings hold a rare earth magnet to prevent the cutter from getting lost into the shavings
• Included with the manual tool are a HSS ball-end cutter, a burnishing brush, an instruction sheet and a DVD
