Nowadays, the use of a hot glue gun is common both at home and in the workshop. While it requires no special skill, it must however be used with caution because of the high heat exuded (close to 200°C).
As the glue becomes liquid under the influence of heat, it is not uncommon to end up with residue of glue here and there and these residues are often difficult to remove without damage.
This hot melt glue pad just brings the problem to the end:
