The EDGE models are provided with all basic functions for professional use and are also suitable for plastic or aluminum cutting. The Elcon EDGE saws are also pre-machined to accept the “V” - grooving mechanism.
Unrivaled design of the machine frame. It features a new and lighter frame, yet it is still as rigid as its’s bigger brothers such as the DS line of saws. Solid construction, not requiring any special floor preparation.
CHARACTERISTICS:
Saw Unit: The 4 KW S6 motor units is supplied with a soundproof enclosure equipped with micro switches to neutralise the motor when unit is moved from vertical to horizontal cutting. Also neutralises the motor when guard is open for service or to replace the blade.
Double cut scoring: Double cut scoring with the main sawblade. Easy to adjust feature makes it possible to set the scoring depth of the main blade on the first cutting direction and then in the reverse cut go through the material. This results in an exact edge without chipping of the top surface.
Capacity 60mm: Maximum depth capacity is 60mm.
Repeat cut stop for strip cutting: this follow guide with bearings rolls on top of the panelenabling repetitive cuts from 0-500mm.
Measuring stop: lightweight construction for vertical cuts.
Extra large entry and exit rollers for panel handling: Enables the operator to load or unload the panels from both right-hand and left-hand side of the frame.
Oversized support blocks: Enables to support any size and weight for a greater range of products.
Automatic shifting frame : TheEDGE is standard equipped with a shifting back frame using micro-switches (no need for compressed air). This prevents damaging the support strips on your machine.
Ergonomic mid-fence system. This support is activated with a lever placed on the left-hand side of the frame. A stop is also included for this feature.
Clip board for job cards: Handy clipboard to hold cutting lists next to the control board.
Emergency Stop: Stops the blade assisted by an electromagnetic brake, electrical components as per “CE”
