Description

When it comes to finishing, dust is surely the biggest enemy because, once the finish coat has been applied, any dust particles that were left on the surface of the furniture are now sealed in forever.

One of the most efficient ways to a better finish is to use a tack rag. Used in all type of industries where surface preparation is critical, tack rag is used to wipe down the surface of a component before applying paint, stain or sealer.

  • The rag is made of two components: a “cloth” component that is most commonly a cotton gauze textile (cheesecloth) and a "tack" component that is typically a kind of non-drying resinous material (petroleum derivative).
  • The tack rag is tacky enough to pick up dust and hold it, but will not leave the surface tacky if used properly.
  • Formulated to provide the exact tack and feel that you need, simply run the rag smoothly over the entire surface of the project to be painted or stained.
  • Slightly sticky, it will easily pick up small pieces of sawdust and debris left on the wood without leaving any trace of residue or lint behind.
  • Wax and silicone free, one must not rinse out the rag; it can be stored it in the original plastic bag for reuse or thrown away when too dirty.
  • Tan color rags (20x12 mesh) are individually wrapped, affordable and compatible with all paints including waterborne finishes.

A great help for the finishing of your projects!
